FUN's core values are to:-

  • Respect and safeguard the dignity, worth, and rights of all children, their families and volunteers as individuals, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender, disability, age or sexual orientation.

  • Regard the welfare and protection of the organisation's clients as the primary professional duty.

  • Prioritise the effectiveness and quality of the volunteers' friendships with the children and their families.

  • Be personally responsible, whether as a volunteer, employee or member of the Management Committee, for conduct with regard to serving the mission of the organisation, and achieving its aim and strategic objectives in a cost-effective and ethical manner.

  • Maintain an objective, non-possessive, non-judgemental professional relationship with those served.

  • Adhere to the organisation's statement on confidentiality.

  • Be committed to continuously providing the highest standards of care, ensuring that clients are aware of the range and level of service they can expect.

  • Ensure that all those involved in the organisation's work are personally and collectively responsible for assuring the achievement of standards and improving the quality of care and service, and to support the organisation's quality policy and its self assessment and evaluation procedures.

  • Seek, value and respond to feedback from clients, other service users and stakeholders.
